Everyone at some point experiences grief. Even Jesus grieved at the loss of his friend Lazarus and supported his family in their grief, even though He knew He would raise Lazarus from the dead: When Jesus saw Mary weeping, and the Jews who came with her also weeping, “he was greatly disturbed in spirit and deeply moved… Jesus began to weep. So the Jews said, “See how he loved him!” (John 11:33-35).

Through our bereavement ministry, members reach out to the grieving to support them in their loss by:

  • providing food for the family, visiting, sending cards, or making phone calls to ensure they know they are not alone

  • Providing help to organize the funeral, send flowers and attend the funeral.

  • Having a trained grief counselor to provide counseling.

This ministry  ensures that the vital services of care and counsel are provided to the grieving.
