One of the joys of Christian worship is singing with all our hearts to the Lord, obeying the biblical command to address “one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart” (Ephesians 5:19). Our music ministry’s goal is to prepare members to do the best they can to fulfill this command and glorify God in congregational singing. We do this by teaching members to sing without instrumental accompaniment, using four-part harmonizing to enrich the singing. Our weekly Sunday morning Bible class hour is allocated once per month for this purpose. This ministry is also evangelistic. Our singing group practices once per month also, to prepare themselves for singing in the community – for example, at Christmas time.
